Conversation King by Rachel Davis was one of the first books on dating and seduction that was written from a woman's point of view on attracting women.

I imagine that to write Conversation King, Rachel remembered all the times that a guy she was interested in came up to her and did and said things to turn that interest into attraction with her.

Perhaps she even asked some of her girl friends to remember times when a man was able to create attraction with them the first time they met.

While Conversation King does a great job in teaching men how to talk to women who are at least somewhat interested in them, she completely ignored how to create attraction in women who are indifferent to the man even before the approach.

In fact most of the techniques in the book will only work if the woman is already attracted to you. If you try these techniques on a woman who is indifferent about you, then you are almost guaranteed to cause her to lose interest in you because there was nothing there to begin with.

For instance at one point in the book she tells a man to introduce himself to a woman and offer to buy her a drink. Now if you are Brad Pitt or someone with whom she has an interest in buying her a drink will not hurt or help the situation, yet if she doesn't know you, all that offering to buy her a drink is going to do is put you in the Disinterested category.

Conversation King is an easy read that I would only recommend to two specific types of guys.

The first guy would be the one that finds “seduction techniques” to be manipulative and wants a woman to like him for being him.

If you're this guy this is the book for you, but, I hope you have a lot of money to throw around because some of her techniques can become costly overtime.

For example if you introduce yourself to 10 women and buy each one a drink you are looking at a minimum of a 60 dollar tab and you haven't even bought yourself a drink yet.

The second type of guy would be one who wants to get a good understanding of what “typical women” think and in turn can use that knowledge to tweak his game slightly, yet still maintain the basic principles and techniques of seduction.
